COROMANDEL LIFE LATE SPRING / HOLIDAY 2018

&

BACH LIFE

Saturday 29 December 2018

Kennedy Park in Pauanui

See the latest in boats of all sizes, e-bikes, jetskis, kayaks, SUPs, caravans,

and more. You can even try a few on for size.

See how sturdy structures like this one, erected by

Whitianga’s Outdoors Covered, can add extra living

space to your home. This one even has a clear

dome ceiling. Weather out – sun in!

Mark those calendars now for this

fantastic day out for the entire family.

The popular Great Outdoors & Bach Life

Expo – the only one of its kind on the

peninsula – is back this year to provide

a city shopping experience right here at

the beach in Pauanui.

The event showcases the latest offerings

from over 90 local and national suppliers. In

addition to the usual Marine, Sports, Outdoors

and Leisure products, there will also be stalls

featuring the new ‘Bach Life’ theme with lots

of ideas to inspire furnishing, modernising or

renovating your bach (or home).

“Stalls selling outdoor furniture and ‘big

boys toys’ have always been particularly

busy”, said past event coordinator Sarah

Steinemann. “We get a mix of returning and

new exhibitors each time, so there are new

things to try out and the latest innovations to

see. We hear that many wait till the Expo to

buy their new lounge suite, bike or kayak.”

Have a go on an electric bike. View the interior

of the newest in luxury motor homes. Update

your outdoor furniture with the latest styles

and get them delivered at the end of the day.

See everything from surfboards to boats,

bikes to motorhomes, and the latest in

sporting and outdoor adventure equipment

for land or sea. Check out options to use your

outdoor living areas year round with awnings,

blinds and shelters for weather proofing.

Many attendees will happily head home with

some great Expo deals.

FREE ADMISSION for a FUN FAMILY DAY

While mums and dads are checking out the

numerous exhibits, there is plenty to keep

the kids happy too. A bouncy castle for the

younger ones, and lots of inflatable fun to

appeal to kids of all ages, including a climbing

tower, obstacle course and mini jeeps.

Make a tasty selection from any one of the

numerous food stalls while enjoying live music

from local bands and musicians. And, with

entry free, it’s a great value day to spend with

the whole family – with opportunities to eat,

shop, relax and have fun.

FUNDS BENEFIT MANY PROJECTS

The Expo is a major fundraiser for the local

Hikuai school, intended to provide much-

appreciated funds for a range of projects

and initiatives. Money raised in the past

has helped pay for upgrading/increasing

the number of laptops. Proceeds from this

year will go towards resurfacing the old

court with Tiger Turf to create an innovative

outdoor learning space.

This great day would not be feasible without

the major sponsors – Prescott’s Garages,

Danske Mobler, Jayco/South Auckland

Caravans and Family Boats. Also thanks to

TCDC and the local Emergency Services for

making their resources available on the day.

“Staging such a large event is also made

possible by strong local support,” adds

Principal Murray Hawke. “We are lucky to be

able to count on the goodwill of families and

local businesses alike to put on such a quality

community event, both in preparation and on

the day.”

GREAT PRIZES ON OFFER FOR ALL

As always, generous businesses like

Grand Mercure Puka Park, 100% Thames,

Danske Mobler, Dive Zone Whitianga,

Tairua Butcher, and Lockwood Homes have

donated prizes for the popular huge raffle.

Will you be the lucky one going home with

with a new Beefeater Bugg BBQ? Other

prizes include an accommodation package

and items for the bach.

“Tickets are on sale from Labour Weekend

until the afternoon of the draw on Expo

day,” notes Murray. “It’s not necessary to be

present to claim your prize, so even if you’re

unable to attend, please support the school

by buying lots of those tickets!” Available at

Richardsons Pauanui or the school, and at

the Richardsons stall at the Expo up to time

of the draw.

A great day you won’t want to miss has been

planned for everyone –

see you there!
