Extraordinary and beautiful any time of year! Whether you enjoy biking,
hiking, surfing or just hanging out at the beach – The Coromandel has
it all! We are blessed with scenic gems around every corner…and there
are lots of corners!
Join us as we share a few of our favourites on the following pages – the
picturesque Puketui Valley, the popular Hauraki Rail Trail, the Coastal
Walkway, Whangamata’s unique mountain bike park and so much more.
The 136km Hauraki Rail Trail follows former railway corridors through
provincial towns and countryside across the Hauraki Plains and through
the spectacular Karangahake Gorge to Waihi.
We head north of Coromandel Town to Colville for the quiet country
roads where the only traffic jam you’ll encounter is a mob of sheep
followed by a friendly farmer. Pedal or walk the Coromandel Coastal
Walkway that navigates the tip of the peninsula with stunning views
across to Great Barrier Island.
