A Taste of Matarangi is on again! Get ready to get your groove

on, and bring your appetite!

A fantastic line-up of entertainment, delicious food and great

wines will be on offer April 11 at the Village Green in Matarangi

with proceeds going to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. Lap

up the atmosphere with the beautiful backdrop of the stunning

white sands of Matarangi Beach. This promises to be another

knockout event, the third year this festival has been held.

Organisers are hoping for another brilliant day, weather-wise,

to match last year’s scorcher, so that all comers can enjoy the

last taste of summer in that wonderful setting.

Included in the mouth-watering, thirst-quenching goodies

on offer will be organic and local produce, gourmet burgers,

seafood, fine wines, coffee and cold beer. From rock to classic

and soul funk, there’ll be music to suit everyone’s taste. The

Hipstamatics will soon have everyone dancing, and, back by

popular demand, are the Daughters of Ally. The Mercury Bay

Big Band will cause a nostalgia outbreak with tunes from Duke

Ellington and Glenn Miller.

Competitions, demonstrations and a fun-filled kid’s arena

are also planned, so the whole family will be catered for.

Tickets – $15 adult, $5 a child or $30 for a family (2 kids and

2 adults) – are available at
