rough waves, take to the air with
acrobatic maneuvers, ride in the
surf, and reach speeds topping
50 knots.
Mud, mud and more mud! Every
year the Tairua Surf Lifesaving
Programme challenges kids to
extend their confidence, in and out
of the water. One event the budding
lifesavers look forward to is the
“Mud
Run”
, which challenges the children
to get down and dirty. Not much
encouragement needed for these
kids, who delight in the sheer joy of
mud oozing between their toes. And
everywhere else.
