Pay your overdue fees with

a donation of food to the

Food Bank.

Thames, Mercury Bay and

Tairua Libraries are offering a

food for fines promotion from

October 22nd until Dec 9th.

During this period you have the

option of paying your overdue

fees as normal, or donating an

item of food instead.

Food must be non-perishable

and each item will reduce your

overdue fee by $4.00. All food

collected will be donated to

local food banks which provide

40-55 food parcels a month.

A list of suggested items will

be available at each library.

We hope you will support this

initiative to provide for those in

need within our communities.

MARVELLOUS

MOVING MACHINES

—AT OUR PENINSULA LIBRARIES—

The school holidays have kicked off to a great start across

the peninsula, with children building their own catapults and

hovercrafts. As our kids were making, racing and shooting they were

also receiving an introduction to STEM (science, technology,

engineering and maths used in real world applications).
